Over the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of women. From 16-year-old women at an elite boarding school, 30-year-old pregnant mothers battling drug addiction, to 90 year-olds facing the end of their lives. No matter what the age or race, those in deep poverty, and those with mansions on the coast of California, there is a unifying desire that I see among all women:
We want to know that our lives matter.
I see people every day who have broken hearts and spirits, whose bodies are shutting down, who feel hopeless or trapped in depression, addiction, or fear. I offer them counsel and a safe place to land, if only for a short period of time. I hope they know (and feel) that on that day, they are seen, and they are valued.
I was inspired to create Original Worth because I’ve seen first hand, inside of the therapy office, and perhaps more astoundingly OUTSIDE of therapy, how many of us are captive to our self-doubt and unhelpful thought patterns. Many of us believe we are our thoughts because our thinking patterns and stories have been there for so long that we haven’t been able to separate ourselves from them.
In my own life, I’ve seen the power and life-giving changes that have come from dismantling old, unhelpful thought patterns, raising awareness, and rewiring my brain through simple practices, and I see these changes every day in the clients I work with. Being a witness to the brave and life changing work my clients embark on is my greatest privilege.

My goal is to offer you a soft place to land, to recharge, get inspired, and to be supported. I don’t want this to be another “self-help” blog whose articles and tools sit collecting dust in your inbox. I have spent years studying the latest research in applied neuroscience and positive psychology in order to share practical ways that you can feel a bit more connected, more peaceful, and joyful throughout your day.
When we take time to be intentional in our thinking, our whole world changes. Life no longer becomes something that happens to us, but something greater which we get some say over. The implications of our growth are huge.
We become more present for our partners, our friends, and our children. We are more connected to our world and the people in it. We are more creative, and we aren’t afraid to take risks or do what we have been called to do. We take steps forward and we are not governed by our emotions, but rather, see them as sources of information.
We enjoy life, finding meaning and beauty in small moments, rather than checking things off of our never-ending to-do lists, always feeling like we come up short.

Your life matters more than you can comprehend. By getting a little more grounded, a little more intentional, present, and compassionate, you create a ripple that extends out to everything you touch and everyone you interact with. And that, my friend, is how you (yes, you!) change the world.

I’m so glad you are here, and I would be honored to offer you support and structure as you dig in.

Aren’t we all?
